I believe plastic bottles can serve a better purpose as art and light for the world to appreciate. All of the art, lamps and lighting installations at Believe Bottles are created with recycled materials and plastic that has been rejected and is headed for the landfill.
My intent is to create a Believe Bottle Gallery up in Big Bear, California and save their impact on the environment by taking all of their plastic off of their hands before it ever leaves the mountain for the landfill. I would like to set up Believe Bottle programs on the islands of Hawaii, the Jamaican islands and parts of the Caribbean that are having explosive issues with mass amounts of plastic washing up on their shores.
My goal with Believe Bottles is to transform all of this unwanted plastic into useful light up lamp art that tourists will love to come and buy as souvenirs to take home with them. And that's the best part!
